Why do you say that? As I understand it, the update log records only queries that change the databases. At the moment I'd like to see the connections and SELECT queries, too. I'm looking at http://www.mysql.com/doc/Q/u/Query_log.html where it says the general query log is enabled by the --log option and records "all connections and queries". I'm using the --log option, but I'm getting nothing in the log file except the header info it writes at startup. So something's wrong somewhere -- with the documentation, with my setup, with the software, or with my understanding. -- Keith C.
