How you uninstall depends on how you installed. Did you install the binary? an rpm? or compile the source and then install? If you installed by rpm, then all you need to do is:
rpm -e mysql If you used some other method to install, then you can just delete all od the directories. But you will want to remove any automated instructions to start the daemon, etc. I can't be more specific without knowing how you installed.
