Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect to a MySQL server running on Linux from a Windows Visual Basic application without setting up a DSN on the Windows computer?
I know this can be done with MS SQL Server and I have heard it can be done with Oracle so I am wondering if there is a connection string that will work with MySQL. Currently everything I try brings up a DSN setup screen and this is something that I definitely do not want. Thanks for any help.
