if you are using this while going through an API like perl,php,c,c++ then you could do a call like "select LogID from Log WHERE LogIP="10.0.0.22" ORDER BY LogID DESC LIMIT 100" and run mysql_num_rows() on the resultant mysql query object. hope this is at least somewhat helpful.
