Don't forget that SSH (eg OpenSSH) can tunnel regular port connections too.
This is dead easy to set up with a client such as "SecureCRT" from Van Dyke, but this is a paid product (although worth the money in my opinion - I own it). They also do "Entunnel" which is cheaper product which just does secure tunnelling. But as this tunelling is a fundamental part of SSH, there must be some open source implementation too? Anyone else like to add to this?
