I want to upgrade my MySQL version (3.23.51) because of the recently revealed exploit; the only binary dist on mysql.com for solaris 2.7 is 3.23.53; will there be a problem compiling from source on this platform or should I wait for the binaries to be updated? There is a .54 release for 2.8 and 2.9 but not for 2.7.
Or does this exploit not affect Solaris?
