Rick, What messages are you seeing in the .err file in your logging directory? I typically run my servers with the KDE up and I use the service configuration tool to restart services. Have you tried to fire up MySQLCC and connect to your server?

I already kill the process, and was trying to restart How does one get back into flushing the passwords, and gaining access, since the instruction don't work. What am I doing wrong, or? what step are missing? or what brand of coffee should I switch to.
