Hi,

You also get back a hell of a lot as a result of buying support. It has really been a grand experience for us so far. If your databases are important, and esp if you work on more than one machine. Support is a very small price to pay to get *THE* answers. For example we had a query problem and send off an email about it. From support we get back this document that would totally fit into a textbook for easy reading and detailed logic. We have learned a great deal as a result of these kinds of detailed responses. Some of the best responses you see on the list are like that, but with support you can count on that response. A very big deal when you are freaking out about your data being randomly corrupted :)

Thanks,

Eric

No, the GPL license will do: The GPL focuses on _distributing_ between
_entities_ and puts conditions on that. Anything else you are free to
do. As long as you not distributing (one company counts as one
entity), you have to do nothing in order to comply with the GPL.

Of course, if you find MySQL useful, it would be sensible to consider
buying support to give back a bit.

HTH,

Benjamin.
