This should have read "/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link cxx".  You can't
link C++ programs with $CC; you need to use $CXX.  It looks like a typo
in one of MySQL's Makefiles.

Also, consider building MySQL 3.23.55 or 4.0.12 instead of 3.22.32.
