I actually like that idea a lot myself.  I know I always try and get
$current_company to get support contracts, but that doesnt' always happen.  I
think it'd be cool to 'vote' for future enhancements with our money.

Yes, that would be nice. I brought that up with Heikki Tuuri a while ago and he says if he can find a client with the $$$ then it can be done. I'd pay $100 for full text search with InnoDb if it were built into the standard version (no royalties).


How many people out there are willing to pay $$$ to see it done?? Please reply to this thread to see if there is a general interest and how much it is worth to you.

P.S. I don't know how much it would cost, but I don't think we'll get there with $20 donations unless we get a thousand people joining in.
