Hello,
I got "Lost connection to MySQL server during query" from time to time when
connecting to MySQL server.
Using following PHP code,
$this -> conn = mysql_connect( $host,
$c_user,
$c_passwd) ;
if( $this -> conn == 0 )
raise_error( __FILE__, __LINE__, "Can't connect2db :
$host ") ; <= trigger error and exit

mysql> show variables like '%packet%' ;
