If find this question a little strange... afaik .NET is a development
framework[1], while MySQL is of course a database server. The relation
between the two is only indirect via some programming language: you can use
a number of languages with .NET, and you can connect to and use any MySQL
database using any of these languages.

Both products definitely have a future, how long and how bright is a
different question, one could check with the Oracle of Delphi...[2] ;)

I don't know if this answers your question, as I may have understood it
wrong. In general, if you ask a question and get no reply, you should take a
critical look at your own question and perhaps try to formulate it
differently. Just a friendly advise. :)
