Hello,

I am attempting a change in my use of mysql C API to use 3.23.54 instead of
3.21 and I am finding that the mysql_real_connect function is failing to run
(it crashes the program).
My mysqld version is also 3.22.27.

Anyone know whether this is a bug in that version of the C API?

I suppose it's possible, but it's unlikely because the MySQL client programs themselve use mysql_real_connect(). A bug in such a fundamental function would tend to show up pretty quickly. You might want to post your code that is failing to the list so that people can look at it.
