In the Certification section of the mysql web site there is a short sample test which shows the types of questions. There's a lot of information there too including the broad topics covered in each test. According to amazon.com Paul Dubois will have a MySQL Certification study book coming out March 15th. I believe the test is geared toward the 4.x versions, but the web site should say for sure.
