someone will no doubt echo what I'm about to say.
InnoDB files are created at startup. the files use all the disk you allocate to them in your my.cnf startup file.


If you want smaller InnoDB files, specify a smaller file size in your my.cnf file, but I have a feeling thats not what you want to do...
