Thanks Jeff,Use an Access pass-through query.
After a little more investigation it turns out that the problem only exists when I run the query through a MS Access database attached to MySQL via ODBC. If I run the query in MySQLCC or MySQL-Front it runs just fine.
Any ideas for a work around?
