I have been using a local copy of the current production version of MySQL in a windows environment while we evaluate porting a MS Access front-end to make use of MySQL. We are ready to go prime-time within my team and as part of this exercise installed a LINIX version of MySQL on another machine. We can create a DB, import files etc, etc while on the local LINIX box, but are unable to connect via a remote machine. Any suggestions on how to debug this issue? Networking is not an issue as we can ping the machine.
