the mythtv-status issue is a different one. There's some bugs filed on that already. You can enable -testing from the autobuilds (see MCC to turn it on if you need) to fix that.
So as for your error here, did you manually go purging in /etc at some point? I'm not sure that the failure to install the Myth Database is actrually a bug or not, however, as this machine is used as a MythTV Front End and a MythTV Slave backend so the mythtv database is not on this machine -- it is on the master backend system.
