Status in “lirc” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: lirc Lirc doesn't have an option for this Cyberlink remote (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/6372024/Cyberlink-Remote-Control-+-USB-Receiver/Product.html) and I don't have the Knowledge to create a hardware.conf file for it so far the information i have is that: 1) It is made by the same company that make the old MCE remotes 2)support in windows is as good in Linux (rubbish...unless using a Cyberlink product) 3) some more information I could find on this remote which a appears to be made by a company called Jess-Link who then brand it for whoever (http://www.jpcco.com.tw/technology_info.aspx?productCategoryID=wireless&subCategoryID=2&productID=18) If anyone can help with this then thanks! if you need more info I'm here (although I don't know if I can be of much use other than you giving me commands/tests to run on my PC with the thing connected...) Thanks in advance! PS: Almost forgot to mention that the four arrow keys and the ok button which they surround work out of the box with Ubuntu 8.10 and there is a picture of the remote below! _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
