My gut feeling is this is caused by the backend changes we made
requiring udev to finish starting before starting the backend. The fix
for that would be to have the frontend wait for the backend to finish
starting before it tries to start. Similar to what was done with the
backend waiting for mysql.

Mario, can you comment on that?

Title:
Frontend IP error on cold start

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  New

Bug description:
On a cold start of my Mythbuntu front/back end I get an error that indicates
that an IP address was set up incorrectly and cannot connect to backend, when I
only used the basic default install. After which everything seems to run fine.
What is interesting is that if I exit the fronted and then go back to the
fronted the error does not happen. The error does not happen if I cold start
the computer without the 950Q usb tuner, I even left my PCTV HD usb tuner in
and it was OK. Something happening because of the 950Q tuner?
