Mythbuntu 10.04: lip sync issues with HDPVR

Bug description:
This is a new bug since 9.10.
When I record using HDPVR (source DISH box) in ac-3 mode
there is gradual increase in delay between sound and video. I have 86_64
system running on quad core 2.66 system.
This is not a video playback issue. The recording is the issue. If I change
the play mode on DIsh box to 720pm and then to 1080i
The problem improves, but does not resolve. I need to do this reset every day
after the 3am DISH update.
This problem started on 10.04. I did not have it on the prior version of
mythbuntu.
