Marking incomplete as this release isn't supported anymore. Can anyone
confirm that this issue is still present on a supported Mythbuntu/MythTV
release?

8.10a4 installation does not detect firewire cable box
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Incomplete
Bug description:
During the installation of 8.10a4 (both x86 and x64), my firewire
cable box was not detected in mythtv-setup. After rebooting, the
cable box was detected and could be operated properly.
An installation of 8.04.1 x64 did not exhibit this issue.
My cable box is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HD, and operates
using the SA4250HDC profile.
Though the install has completed, I would be happy to post logs or
perform another installation, as necessary.
