Title: lirc does not have support for ITE8708 receiver Status in “lirc” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: lirc The Dell Studio XPS 16 (Studio XPS 1645) ships with an ITE8708 receiver which lirc does not have a driver for. I tried with the ITE8709 driver but xev did not display any events generated by the handheld remote control. I booted into Windows 7 to verify that the combination of the receiver and the remote control works and indeed it does.
