The XFCE bar is visable over mythfrontend on a fresh install.
Reproduce:
Install from Mythbuntu 14.04 ISO. Install with frontend+master backend.
After install, when mythfrontend starts the XFCE bar is visable at the
top of the screen. Historically, this has been an issue with Compiz
(fixable by enabling the compiz legacy window mode).
