(As for screen real estate and comments, I am usually editing via ssh on a small terminal so I am pretty stumped for screen size whatever. However, if someone chooses doxygen then can we get a quickstart guide on how quickest to slap in the boilerplate stuff and maintain it?)
Yeah, terminal editing is a pain, but I do it a fair bit myself! IIRC, [x]emacs can do folding of comments. Certainly functions/methods. I've definatly seen it at some time or another, so I'm sure it woudlnt' be too, too hard were it to become too much of a pain for you having comments all over the shop.
As for a doxygen quick start, there are loads of examples, but the basics are very easy. If this is what is decided, I'll knock up/find a few examples. I'll even setup scripts to cvs update/generate docs/ftp to website if noone else wants to do this??
