Hi all,

to get some variation from writing SQL patches, I looked into another of my pet peeves this evening, GUI overscan.

Currently, the menus (especially in configuration) likes to extend to the edges of the screen which is fine for a computer monitor but gives problems on my TV (which is not completely square).

The result is this patch:

which is not in a commitable state yet, but it should work good enough for people to test it. The overscan setting is in the appearance menu together with the display size settings.

What is left todo is to make the overscanned menus draw a background which blends nicely with that of the main window (hard to explain but you'll see the problem if you try the patch), and to make sure that it doesn't break any random screens (only tested it lightly so far).

Feedback, testing and suggestions of how to fix the background problem are all equally welcome.
