Does anyone know if this will fix the problem I have with playing back HD recordings from ABC here? I only get audio out the front right speaker using OSS Emu and with ALSA I get choppy/broken audio out the same speaker. With mplayer I get good audio out all speakers. In mplayer with debug is says it is using a codec (liba52 or something like that) to decode the ac3 audio.
Could be because most of the time they are broadcasting in 2ch AC3... They do that alot in Perth..
Waiting for the weekend where they will do those HD demo loops as I know they are truely 5.1..
Are you using ALSA 1.0.6? I heard that that version has problems, try downgrading to 1.0.5 or maybe 1.0.7 and see if it helps..
