I've had the same issue. but without ivtv-fb loaded, I can play back files using the PVR-350 tv-out using dd just fine. AS soon as ivtv-fb loads and I try the dd command again, I get the symptoms described by Chris below. The only mythtv application running is the backend. When I get back in front of my system I'll try loading ivtv-fb before mythbackend, or remove mythbackend from my startup scripts to see what happens with no myth applications in memory at all.
Forgive the post here, I did not see Christopher Delis' e-mail so I could work with him directly to find a common issue. -Patrick ----Original Message---- Date: Tue, 21 Dec 2004 07:42:36 -0000 From: "John Harvey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: [mythtv] Can't get CVS build to work anymore with PVR350 To: "'Development of mythtv'" <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Current cvs should work fine with 0.1.9 and also with Chris's latest drivers. In Chris's driver bundle there is a patch for Mythtv which improves the performance of the OSD and it "should" work with both 0.1.9 and the latest drivers as well. This patch is just a performance improvement though and is not required for myth to work.
