I've just done a very nasty hack to mpegts.c to get AC3 working in Oz. I changed the card(s) to record the TS and now I have all channels running smoothly with AC3, or MPEG for that matter.
CPU sits at around 70% for an Athlon 3200+ playing Nine HD. Very nice! Now I just have to clean up the hack (it sets *all* private streams to AC3!).
