I agree, after using DirecTV for what seems like a decade, and DirecTV
w/tivo for 2 years, I really get annoyed by the fact that I have to
scroll through the entire guide to get to a channel I want to get to. 
I would MUCH rather prefer that in the guide that you can enter a
number, and it'll go to that channel.  Contrary to popular belief,
many of us still use our myth box for livetv viewing.

As for the existing keys?  I don't care of them too much, but perhaps
a better solution is in order for those.  I'd like to see this patch
implemented.  Like the guy said, it's off by default, so why not make
the decision up to the end user?
