This is much appreciated. I have always liked Tivo's 2x and 3x perfectly smooth fast forward. (Also, quite nicely, they don't do the reaction-time compensation at these speeds and only do them at the 20x and 60x speeds) If you're looking for more to do, I have also always thought it would be a good idea to enable turning on of closed-captions at 2x speed or 3x speed, so you can actually watch and follow a show at that speed, since you can read a lot faster than people can talk. Possibly even a mode that shrinks the TV box to create a larger window do do scrolling closed captions along the side. I have had DVD players that played sped-up audio during slow-FF, but this would be even better.
