This is a general XvMC on nvidia problem, not related to recent changes. The driver only provides eight XvMC surfaces, as compared with 32 XV surfaces, this is just does not seem to be enough when you have OSD and allow the player to skip. We could probably work around this problem by only skipping to I frames, handling fast forward differently, displaying all buffered frames before a skip, etc. but not in time for 0.17. -- Daniel
