Just wanted to report your patch already got me out of trouble. My arch is Debian AMD64 pure64 (alioth)
(For archive use, my post depicted and issue with "unrecognizable insn" in mpegvideo.c)
Had to change to the 3.4 version of gcc and g++ also.
But eventually compilation does fine.
