I use Kate which does colour syntax highlighting which makes it a little easier to see what's what. Just make sure you turn 'Use spaces instead of tabs to indent' to on or else it likes to replace your indents with tabs. I'm not a professional programmer most of the programming I have done is on Windows using Borland Delphi which uses Pascal as the language. I'm used to selecting a control from a pallet, plonking it on a form, writing a few simple event handers, compiling and debugging all in one Integrated Development Environment! You can write quite powerful database progs in a matter of a few minutes. By comparison working on Myth is like going back to the stone age. One thing I REALLY miss is code completion. Because I'm not all that familiar with QT or Myth I spend a lot of time looking up function names/argument order etc. Paul _______________________________________________ mythtv-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-dev
