What OSD theme are you using? It's pretty rare when I have a description that doesn't fit.
I see this using every OSD theme there is (even Titivilus-OSD that has the biggest description area of them all). I guess it depends on how much data your grabber provides.
A typical movie description using the Belgian grabber :
