Is there an "official" way to unregister a module? If so, I could unregister when autoplay is on, and I'm in the play module, and re-enable once I exit the module. Even better would be to disable the switch if the target module is already running, but I don't know if somebody keeps track is this.
Ideally, the currently active handler would be recorded and a different course of action taken if the current handler matches the handler for the media. As for the back log, if you'd care to submit a patch that implements this "active handler" stuff, I'd be happy to apply it before the week is out.
