Hello list,

I am living in the Netherlands and I am using the tv_grab_nl_gert grabber for faster grabbing detailed information. There is only one problem with this for me: it grabs all channels, including ones I cannot tune into at home. So I wrote this small patch to be able to skip all channels that do not have a frequency in the database.

That's what mythfilldatabase --update has always done before.

I've also been playing around with mythfilldatabase. I found that option poorly named. It reads like it should cause something to be updated, whereas in fact it causes the database not to be updated. Would a patch that renames the option to --no-new-channels be accepted? Should --update be left in as a synonym for backward compatibility?
