Actually, reason A is what the MPAA wants. Reason B is what the consumer electronics vendors want. What I didn't say was reason C, what the consumer electronics vendors SAY is why they are doing it. Namely that the MPAA has threatened that if there is no DRM on the boxes the CE vendors make, they will not release their movies. They have said this many times of course, and lied each time. This time, you guess for yourselves.
