Yup. In fact, I went into the code to add this as a feature, and lo, there it was, already there. I wanted it so that you could do "suggestions" in tvwish that only used "spare" disk space and never took space from a real program. It is a backup of sorts in case you don't manage space well yourself, because one decides that losing old shows is bettter than failing to record new ones, especially new explicitly chosen ones (not that it currently recognizes this difference.) Tivo, as noted, always autoexpires, suggestions first, then recordings over 2 days old. You can set "keep until delete" but that's not the default. "Undeleting" a Yes (though many people don't use the program groups view. I don't.) I think you want the ready-to-die shows to be generally invisible unless asked for if you aren't using that view. You also want the disk space summary to tell you how many gb are being used by ready-to-die shows. My goal though, is to do it with minimal UI change where possible. Most users should not even be aware it's happening until they go into the delete/restore menu and see it now offers restore.
