I've not used TagLib, but have seen amarok etc. write ID3 tags and from memory I thought they were v2.3, but this post by the TagLib author confused me....

This was in January this year.

So would even TagLib write ID3v2.3's??? I don't know... I'll try and take a peak/fiddle with Amarok tonight...
