The fact that there is a way to work around is irrelevant...
I would have just edited the config.h file and gone from there.
But then I guess Im in the group that is illiterate...
The not so subtle point was that if someone using CVS would have kept up
with the commit log, they would know this was not a bug, but the
intended behavior and understood when the --enable-proc-opt option was
added and why and how this affected the default behavior...
