I will give it a try, if it at least solves the lockup problems then that is a start. Just to recap though - it seems this problem appears with all(?) mpeg 2 recordings, irrespective of which channels or country? I belive FF/RW greater than 3x uses key frames - so is there something different about the key frames in mpeg 2 vs mpeg 4?
