Hello,

Whenever I change channels I'm getting glibc errors which shut down mythfrontend.

I'm running Myth 0.18 built from tarred source on Fedora Core 3 using XvMC with NVidia's driver version 1.0-7174. I'm using firewire with 6200ch, but the errors occur regardless of whether I change channels through Myth or through my STB's remote. This problem is very repeatable when switching between HD channels while running with XvMC.

I've rebuilt with debug symbols and appended my gdb output below. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
- Don

Can you try again with today's CVS?

Tried again with a fresh build from today's CVS. Now when I change channels I'm getting a segfault:

2005-05-03 01:19:41.991 Video timing method: USleep with busy wait
adding pes stream at pid 0x27 with type 2
closing filter for pid 0x21
2005-05-03 01:20:17.820 Codec already open, closing first
2005-05-03 01:20:17.825 Could not open XvMC port...

You may wish to verify that your DISPLAY
environment variable does not use an external
                       network connection.

2005-05-03 01:20:17.848 AvFormatDecoder: Video has changed from 0x0 to 1920x1080.
2005-05-03 01:20:17.886 prebuffering pause
Segmentation fault

(my DISPLAY is 0:0)

Interesting thing is that I've been getting the exact same channel-changing problems on two different boxes:

Box 1 Box 2
------ -------
Distribution Fedora Core 3 Fedora Core 3
Kernel Custom (2.6.11.7) FC3 Pkg (2.6.11-1.14_FC3)
Dependencies Mostly from source Mostly from packages
CPU P4 3.0 P4 2.4
Video GeForce4 MX 420 GeForce FX 5700LE

Tomorrow I'll build with debug symbols and attach gdb output.

Thanks,
- Don
