Any suggestions why it's started appearing now? Any suggestions on a

Don't check the box that say "run frontend in a window"... Or run
something even lighter like ratpoison.

Yeah, that's that strange bit. It's not on, and I have toggled it both ways just for kicks. The main mythfrontend screen is running correctly, it's just the video window which pops into it's own framed window (and not full screen)

Curiously after I upgraded from my fairly old version what would happen is that playing the video would trigger the video window to pop into a framed window. Then the frontend would be in a framed window from then on. I toggled the "frontend in a window" option, and I think I deselected the option underneath about using same resolution for video playback and now it's just the playback screen. The frontend stays full screen

Can you point me to where the relevant code is, and perhaps a primer on anything to look for to debug it? I have a 720x576 screen running on a 16:9 box so the aspect ratio is non-square pixels. Possibly this is tickling some test to go a bit wierd?

Thanks

Ed W
