Ah. Oops. I don't see anything that could cause it to break vld, so if you could look into that, I'd appreciate it.. I'd start by loooking at allcodecs.c, if the register_avcodec(&mpeg_xvmc_vld_decoder); line is getting included (2 ifdefs needed for it to work).
