I've noticed the same thing. I did find that using Zap2It for the data-source, I was able to remove all the unwanted channels from the lineup. This prevents those channels from being downloaded at all, and thus not re-added to the database. It probably also helps out the Zap2It folks a bit by reducing the data transfer quite a bit.
