I'm doing that now. Two big problem. Autoexpire doesn't understand symlinks, so if you moove expirable programs off the main disk, they get deleted for no reason. Transcode doesn't understand symlinks, so if you transcode something that's moved, you get an extra copy, and fill up your main recording space. Also copying stuff can bog down the net/disks. It's 10Mb to copy vs 700k for an MPEG2 stream. You probable don't want to do it while you're recording or playing back.
