at least you gave the bug report more attention than isaac
the configure script has a routine "has_header"
which assume a fixed set of header locations
gentoo installs kde headers somewhere else
now it could be argued that gentoo does the wrong thing
that might be a valid point of view
It is the valid point view. There's no point in overly complicating
things to accommodate every distro out there.
my suggestion was that the configuration script should be more general
i suggested automake/autoconf
If you'd checked the archives, you'd have known that auomake/autoconf
isn't going to happen.
