Still not seeing what the difficulty is. It's really easy to know if the VLD
stuff's being used at runtime, and it's just as easy to get the size of the
video that's being decoded (if you need to drop buffers for HD, etc). Don't
understand why the extra table in the database is required for this, either.
I dunno, there were large sections that depended on ifdefs. I figured
if it could have been detected at runtime it would have been done that
way to begin with. As for the table, it's so it doesn't require a code
change to add/change buffer settings for different implementations.
