True. However, I think the GoodTools in this aspect is of limited use, because I don't think (??) you can get hold of the datasets and thus can't use it without doing some nasty call out to GoodXXX to rename a

There are a ton of dat files available out there which contain the info
in a plaintext format. Of course that info does not include things like softwar make, or year of release. the country can be gleaned from the filename. Even xmame/mess include .hsi files for most game systems out there which have crc -> Good Name info.

Ah. I didn't know that. Okay good. Is there a GoodAmiga now then? Last time I looked there was not many GoodTools for computer systems...

Which is more popular I don't know, but at least TOSEC is chang"open".

The biggest problem I have no far is that while the tosec data contains more

Though I will continue to evaluate it's usefulness. In the end I want something that covers as wide a range as possible and is as "generic" as possible.

Ah. Indeed, that does cause a problem doesn't it. Maybe some systems are more useful than others. I am not aware of a more complete (actually overkill IMHO) Amiga set.

Question: Is there any hard reliance on ADF files for the Amiga portion of MythGame? I have not had the opportunity to try it out yet, but I mainly use IPF images (Interchangeable Preservation Format) which are

The latest SVN available stuff is very flexible it comes to adding and defining emulators, including the file extensions that are used. Other than the gametype name "Amiga" nothing else is hardcoded. you specify what you
want to call the emulators, the commandline, files extensions, etc etc

Nice! That sounds great. I'm going to set it up properly this weekend :)
